Thanks for browsing by! If you’re a teacher, parent, librarian, recreation coordinator, or plan an event for families, the Washington Family Entertainment Showcase is a fantastic resource. Since the debut in 2009, many of the Pacific Northwest’s favorite kids entertainers and school assembly presenters have been featured at the Showcase. The next Showcase will be held in late September/early October. Send us an e-mail and we’ll let you know when the details are confirmed.
Our most recent event was October 2015 at the Lacey Community Center and included performances by Chris Fascione (storyteller), Vikki Gasko-Green (ventriloquist), Rick Anderson (magician), Eric Haines (one-man band), Ian Dobson (steel drum artist), Tears of Joy Theatre, Eva Abrams (storyteller), and Henrik Bothe (physical comedy). Other performers with booths in the exhibit area included Alex Zerbe (The Professional Zaniac), magician Jeff Evans, the Tears of Joy Puppet Theater, and the Olympia Family Theater.
Visit our Performer Directory by clicking links at the menu along the left of the screen for details for our partners and artists. Attend the Showcase and you’ll have opportunities to meet with these presenters face-to-face and learn more about how they work.
You probably receive dozens of letters and brochures from fundraising companies and assembly presenters. You probably either file it or toss it with barely a glance. How do you know which ones are really excellent and will make a difference for your school, library, recreation program, or community event?
The Family Entertainment Showcase gives you the opportunity to talk with and meet the presenters in person. They are happy to tell and show you what they do, and how they can help your organization. If you have questions, this is the place to get them answered.
Block-Book and Save More
Many assembly presenters offer block-booking discounts for schools that coordinate dates for their programs. It simply makes sense to do more than one program in a day, particularly when working out of town. Ask presenters for more details.
Best of all, since you’re surrounded by other school representatives, the Showcase is the ideal time to make connections with other groups that may be interested in teaming up with you to save money.
