For over twenty-seven years, John has used his portrayal of Ray to transform the way people see each other across the U.S., Canada, and Lithuania. After removing his disguise, John engages the audience with stories; lessons learned from playing Ray, and personal stories highlighting respect, anti-bullying, character, self-esteem, and anti-drug use.
“You have a way with words that effects those you speak to. I found myself looking around the bleachers and what I saw was nothing short of amazing. You had our students’ attention, captivated them, and connected with them in a way that was exactly what we were all hoping for.”

“To have the ability to hold over 600 students from various schools and backgrounds riveted in their seats shows just how moving and necessary John’s “Ray” presentation is. John connects with students asking them to consider prejudices, bullying, stereotypes, and self-esteem and lets each person in the room know that they are worthy of dignity and respect.”
